With over 800 miles of unpaved roads and over 400 miles of paved roads in Jackson County, the Road and Bridge department is busy every day maintaining county roads.  Through Community Budget Requests Jackson County has asked the State of Florida to assist in this initiative to improve the roadway infrastructure of Jackson County.  Currently Jackson County Road and Bridge crews are actively working to maintain and pave dirt roads.   Resurfacing projects will continue throughout 2011. Jackson County has actively pursued grants for infrastructure improvements
